Born 1953 in California
Louisville High School, Woodland Hills, class of '71
UCLA, B.A. in English, 1975
In the early 70's, I taught myself to paint in oils by copying several works by the 17th century Dutch artist Jan Vermeer. In the years that followed, I attended evening classes in drawing and painting, and my painting gradually evolved into a more impressionistic style.
For me, making mosaics is like painting with tiles. Mosaics are a new diversion for me, and I have many avenues yet to explore.
Stained glass is a more exacting medium, and it forces me to take measurements, plan ahead, and stay within the lines.
I live in Ojai, CA, and can be reached at lindaclark@kentosh.com
The best part about being a painter is never lacking for something to hang on the wall:
